Winter Mini Series
Thank you to all who participated!
Given the recent decree from Governor Inslee, and the growing concern surrounding COVID-19, we have decided it is best to cancel our Spring Programming. As much as we want to see all of our First Tee participants out on the golf course, the safety and health of our youth, coaches, volunteers, and community members is our number one priority and we feel it is in everyone’s best interest that we cancel programming.
While we may not be on a golf course during this time we are dedicated to bringing First Tee curriculum, tips, and tricks to you this spring! Follow along with us on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter) as we provide a virtual First Tee experience during our six-week spring programming session. We will feature videos from PGA Tour players, First Tee participants, volunteers, coaches, alumni, and many more. These videos will highlight at-home drills you can do to stay in the golfing spirit, ways to incorporate our Nine Core Values into your new daily routines, and fun facts about our organization and the amazing people who help us impact our youth.

Question: Which class should I register my child for?
Little Drivers: This is our introductory level for four (4) to six (6) year olds. Participants must be enrolled in Pre-K. We use the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment.
PLAYer: Minimum age seven (7). Every participant starts here as this level is designed for beginner golfers. Introduces playing the game of golf with special emphasis on learning golf skills and The First Tee’s Nine Core Values.
PAR: After passing the PLAYer level, participants will sign up for PAR class. They have now learned the basic golf and life skills of The First Tee and will focus on interpersonal communication and self- maintenance.
BIRDIE: After passing the PAR level, participants should sign up for the BIRDIE level. This is more advanced level and class will emphasize goal-setting both on and off the golf course.
EAGLE: After passing the BIRDIE level, participants will be considered very advanced. This level builds on PLAYer, Par, and Birdie levels and emphasizes resilience skills, conflict resolution, and planning for the future.
ACE: The most advanced level of The First Tee. Must be recommended and approved by The First Tee Home Office.
*Please note: each child progresses differently in our program. Some stay in one level for three (3) years while some move on to the next level in six (6) months. Our program is open to youth with all levels of ability and experience!*
